For Dr. Mason, transforming smiles isn’t just his job; it’s his passion. Today, he is a top-rated, board-certified orthodontist near Lewis Center who is thrilled to be using his training and talent to help others truly smile.
Dr. Mason has been inducted into the OKU Dental Honor Society, become a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and been the recipient of the Ohio State College of Dentistry Recognition Award (a few of his many accomplishments). His journey to becoming the awarded and recognized orthodontist he is today began at The Ohio State University, which is where he earned his undergraduate degree before completing his dental doctorate. In the following years, he completed a 1-year craniofacial research fellowship at the University of Kentucky, attended the University of Colorado to earn his certificate in orthodontics, and finished his residency in orthodontics.
If that wasn’t impressive enough, Dr. Mason has continued to prioritize advanced training and continuing education even after opening his own practice. Currently, he maintains active memberships with the American Dental Association, the Ohio Dental Association, the Columbus Dental Society, the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and more. Learning all about the latest techniques and technology allows him to provide his patients with the world-class care they deserve.
When Dr. Mason isn’t at the office or pursuing continuing education, he enjoys staying active (mostly through weightlifting and strength training). Some of his other hobbies include cooking, traveling, and reading up on the latest in orthodontics.
My 12 year old daughter got her braces off today and she hasn't stop grinning and looking at her teeth for an hour. We are thrilled with her results. We originally chose POC because of the convenience and fair pricing (our insurance did not cover braces) compared to several other offices in Lewis Center. It was a great decision. Dr. Mason and his crew have been great throughout our 2 yr process.

The road to becoming an orthodontist begins with an undergraduate degree, usually with a major that’s heavy in math or science. From there, one must earn their Doctor of Dental Medicine or Doctor of Dental Sciences from one of 67 Accredited dental schools in America. The last step is to earn their certificate in orthodontics, however, some choose to pursue more. In Dr. Mason’s case, he completed a year-long craniofacial research fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington and his Master of Science in Dentistry. If that wasn’t impressive enough, he also became board-certified and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics!
